Celebrate in the Park with the Thamesford Lions!

The Thamesford Lions Club is excited to invite the entire community to Celebrate in the Park on Saturday, August 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thamesford Park. (Rain date: Sunday, August 23.)

This free community event is our way of bringing people together for an afternoon of fun, connection, and celebration. Families can enjoy free hot dogs, face painting, henna art, spray art activities, children’s games and activities, and live entertainment throughout the day.

The park itself has become an incredible community gathering space, featuring a splash pad, a beautiful new playground, and the recently resurfaced walking path. The pathway improvements were completed as a Thamesford Lions project, and the final paving work will be finished in time for the celebration.

The event will also feature a special community unveiling and announcement, giving residents a first look at an exciting addition for Thamesford.

In addition, the Thamesford Lions will be recognizing several members who have dedicated more than 50 years of service to Lionism and to our community. These remarkable individuals have quietly volunteered countless hours over the decades, helping make Thamesford the caring and vibrant community it is today. We look forward to celebrating their commitment and expressing our gratitude for their extraordinary service.
