Catch the Ace is Back – A New Game Starts!
We’re excited to announce that our new Catch the Ace progressive raffle is starting soon! Ticket sales begin Tuesday, February 3, and the first draw will be on Tuesday, February 10.
The starting jackpot is $1,000+, and draws will happen every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at Brunny’s Bar and Grill in Thamesford. Tickets are $5 each per week, and there’s a weekly winner. If the Ace of Spades isn’t revealed, the jackpot continues to grow!
You can get your tickets from these local vendors: Shell Gas Station, Dewy’s Auto, JC Graphics, Brunny’s Bar and Grill (until 7:30 p.m. on draw nights), McFarland Rowlands, Village Deli and Catering, Highland Restaurant in Embro, and Embro Family Pharmacy.
Ticket pickup times:
Thamesford: Tuesdays, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Embro: Tuesdays, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are also available at Brunny’s Bar and Grill until 7:30 p.m. on draw night.
All proceeds go toward supporting our Lions Club projects and local community initiatives. We reserve the right to limit ticket sales or change the draw location if necessary.

Ace of Spades Caught at Brunny’s as Thamesford Lions Wrap Up Game 12
The Thamesford Lions Club has officially crowned the winner of Catch the Ace Game 12, after the elusive Ace of Spades was found during the Week 32 draw held at Brunny’s.
The lucky winner was Anna Silliker of Tillsonburg, who selected envelope #16. Her pick earned her the weekly prize of $377, along with the final progressive jackpot of $10,191. Silliker has been a regular ticket buyer at Brunny’s and has previously won multiple weekly prizes in earlier games, making this her largest win to date.
The Catch the Ace committee extends sincere thanks to everyone who purchased tickets, shared the excitement, and supported this year’s game. Community participation continues to fuel the success of this important fundraiser.
Residents are encouraged to keep an eye out for the launch of our next game in early 2026, when the Thamesford Lions will return with Catch the Ace Game 13.

Game 12 Is Live!
We’re officially in Game 12 of the Catch the Ace progressive lottery! Game 11 ended as fast as it started—the Ace of Spades was caught on opening night (July 2, 2025)! And just like that, we jumped straight into Game 12, keeping the excitement alive! (Updated July 8, 2025)
🃏 Looking Back: Game 10 Recap
Game 10 came to a thrilling conclusion during Week 40, when local couple Steve and Sam Boyce uncovered the elusive Ace of Spades hiding in Envelope #15. Their well-deserved jackpot? A whopping $16,041!
Steve joked about treating himself to a new snow blower—but no matter how they spend it, the win was well-earned and well-celebrated. Huge congratulations to the Boyces!
